Planning Ahead…
Hi from Mauritius!
Just wanted to give you all an update about what we’re doing (apart from soaking up the sun…). We’re planning our future guesthouse at full speed.
Bought our plot of land and we hope our construction work will soon start with all the speed Mauritian builders can manage…. which is not all that much. But I can understand them, and I adapted my speed to the local custom.

I promised to some of you that I would explain why I wrote the preceding post ‘A Farewell to Film’. Why I will in the future not use film any more. The choice was very hard as you might guess from my years of posting stuff on the subject. But there are some aspects of our future that render the use of film quite difficult.
Well, here’s the stuff I want you to know. The stuff that will change the lives of our family for the (hopefully) many years still to come. This implies a radical change in life, in environment and in expectations.
I think this will be a longer post, so grab a beer, a cuppa or some popcorn and board the ride.

Breeding Unicorns…
Dreams are what’s fuelling our lives and what’s pushing humanity forward. Some have small dreams, some have big dreams and some have dreams rooted in childhood.
There’s a farmer in our town who has got a dream, I suppose it’s one of his childhood dreams or even the dream of one of his kids.
He does all he can to fulfill it. Provides all the comfort possible to his subjects…
