Creating a Photo Book

Some weeks ago I took up the offer from SAAL DIGITAL I saw on Facebook to create a free photo book in exchange for a review on my blog. I have seen a number of those reviews in the passing weeks and I just want to add mine to the fray.IMG_0157

And just to make it really clear, the offer was not bound to a positive review and I’m not in any way affiliated with SAAL DIGITAL!

Some from the Streets.

Hello everyone,

I just want to show some photos from the last days, takes with the camera that lives in my pocket… the iPhone.

Definitely the best way to wait for the bus… bring your own chairs! img_0002

By the way, the guys got on the bus WITH the chairs later….

Synthesis, live in Luxembourg City

Photography is my greatest passion… but just behind comes music. And above all if said music involves my daughter.170617 - Canon AE-1 - Ilford HP5 @3200 ISO (6)

Sometimes I am lucky to combine both passions and have a terrific evening… and not enough film, unfortunately. So this time no silly roll-fillers.

The roll-fillers!

Nothing exciting here, just the photos you make to fill a roll. Just imagine, you’re home, you got some time on your hands and a roll of film thats nearly full and you’d like to develop it. But you’re a cheapskate and don’t like to waste those shots like me.

Confess, you were thinking I’d do it!

Yeah, you were!

And honestly I can’t blame you! I thought I’d do it too. I really was on the verge of leaving the WWF – no, not the World Wildlife Fund but the Wonderful World of Film!

I was tempted, I tried and really, it was close….

The latest crop

Definitely some of my best photos happen early in the morning, when I go to work. Before 7 the city is still quiet, the light is great and sometimes all comes together to make a photograph I want to share.FXE14566.jpg

Of course it’s nearly summer  now and even before 7 a.m. the sun is up and it’s quite bright. No more moody shop window shots now.

It’s Official….

…I don’t like developing color film!

170520 - Olympus Trip 35 - Fuji Superia 200 (20)
Silhouettes in the mist

Some time ago I bought a C41 development kit and a handful of cheap color film (Fuji Superia 200) and those last weeks / months, I have shot all but one of them. I used my Olympus Trip 35, the XA2 and even the now gone Canon A-1 with those films.

And I have developed them! These are the results fresh out of the Olympus Trip 35: Continue reading “It’s Official….”
